5 Things Every Auto Repair Shop Website Gets Wrong
I've built websites for dozens of auto repair shops. Here are the mistakes I see over and over — and what actually works.
1. No online booking.
If a customer has to call to schedule, you're losing half of them. People book dentists, haircuts, and oil changes the same way now — online, at 11pm. Add a booking button.
2. Stock photos of shiny cars.
Your customers don't drive showroom cars. They drive 2014 Camrys with a check engine light. Show your actual shop, your actual team. Real photos build trust.
3. Burying the phone number.
Put it at the top of every page. Big. Clickable on mobile. This alone can double your inbound calls.
4. No Google reviews section.
88% of people trust online reviews as much as personal recommendations. If you've got good reviews, show them front and center.
5. Slow load times.
Most shop websites are built on bloated templates that take 8+ seconds to load on mobile. Google penalizes slow sites. Your customers leave. Speed matters more than fancy animations.
Fix these five things and you'll see more calls, more bookings, and more repeat customers — guaranteed.
