The 5 Posts Every New Real Estate Agent Should Be Making (But Isn't)

I've helped dozens of agents go from zero engagement to consistent leads just by fixing what they post. Here's what most new agents get wrong:

1. "Just Listed" isn't a content strategy.

Every agent posts listings. Zero differentiation. Instead, tell the story behind the listing — "This family downsized after their kids moved out. Here's how we found them the perfect downtown condo in 3 weeks."

2. You're not posting enough "day in the life" content.

People hire agents they feel like they know. Show your morning routine, a walkthrough you're doing, a coffee run between showings. This builds trust faster than any market report.

3. Market updates need a hot take.

Don't just share the numbers — tell people what they MEAN. "Interest rates dropped 0.25% — here's why that means you should start looking NOW if you're in the $350K-$500K range."

4. Testimonials are gold, but you're presenting them wrong.

Screenshot of a text > designed graphic. Real > polished. Share the raw "OMG we got the house" text from a client (with permission) and write the backstory.

5. You never ask people to engage.

End every post with a question. "What neighborhood are you eyeing?" "Would you take a fixer-upper to save $80K?" Questions = comments = algorithm love.
