The 3-Container Rule That Changed How I Meal Prep
Most people overcomplicate meal prep. They try to make 7 different dinners on a Sunday and burn out by week 2.
Here's what actually works — the 3-Container Rule:
Container 1: Protein — Cook 2 proteins in bulk. Grilled chicken + baked salmon covers most of the week. Season differently and it never feels repetitive.
Container 2: Carb base — Pick 2 grains. Quinoa and brown rice. Cook them plain — they pair with everything.
Container 3: Vegetables — Roast a big sheet pan of mixed veggies (broccoli, bell peppers, sweet potato, asparagus). Different combos each day.
That's it. Mix and match across the week. Total prep time: ~90 minutes on Sunday.
The trick isn't variety — it's simplicity that you'll actually stick with.
