You weren’t tired when you picked it up. You were unfinished.

That is why the room was dark and the phone was bright and forty minutes left no evidence they existed.

No message you meant to send. No decision. No rest. Just a thumb, a glow, and a slightly worse version of you.

Millions of people think they have a time problem. They don’t. They have a first-five-minutes problem.

The day is decided in bed. After the feed speaks, you spend twelve hours catching up to other people’s mornings — then you unlock it again at midnight looking for an ending you never got.

The brain does not want another video. It wants a closed loop. Something that leaves your hands.

Tonight, before the feed:

  1. Write every open loop. Ugly. No sorting.

  2. Circle one.

  3. Write the first ugly step. Then stop.

  4. Phone in another room.

Tomorrow, do the step before you unlock it.

That is the whole book. The rest is why you will try to skip it — and how to not turn a slip into a written-off day.

Faceless Reels don't fail because of the algorithm. They fail in the first sentence.

I used to think I needed to be on camera to grow.

I didn't. I needed a first line that made someone stop.

Most faceless pages post decent B-roll and a nothing hook:

"Here's how I grow on Instagram."

"Let me share a tip."

"POV: you want to be consistent."

Nobody stops for that. They've seen it 400 times.

The Reels that hit do one of three things in under 12 words:

  1. A specific claim. "I posted 30 days without showing my face."

  2. A pattern interrupt. "Stop filming yourself. Film this instead."

  3. An unfinished tension. "Your Reel died in the first line."

Then the body is 15 seconds. One idea. One CTA. Usually "save this."

That's the whole system. Not a new niche. Not better lighting. A sentence worth staying for.

If your last Reel flopped, don't recut the footage. Rewrite the first line and post it again.

Why most ChatGPT output sounds the same

Most people type "write me an Instagram caption" and then wonder why it sounds like every other account.

The model isn't the problem. The input is.

A prompt that actually ships work has four pieces:

  • Job — caption, landing page, email, ad, client brief

  • Audience — who it's for, in one sentence

  • Offer — what you're selling or saying

  • Voice — 2–3 lines of copy you already like

Skip any of those and you get filler.

I built Prompt Kit so you stop rewriting the same instructions every day. Copy the template, drop in those four pieces, paste, edit the last 10%.

That's the whole system. Not more AI. Better inputs.
