Why most pickleball clubs are still running on group chats and spreadsheets

Pickleball participation has exploded over the last few years, and most club/league organizers I've talked to are managing it the same way they did with 30 members: a group chat for scheduling, a spreadsheet for brackets, and a lot of manual DMs chasing people for registration fees.

That breaks down fast once you cross ~50 active players. A few patterns I keep seeing:

  • Court scheduling collisions — two groups show up for the same court because sign-ups live in three different places.

  • Bracket chaos — tournament brackets built in Google Sheets that someone has to manually update between rounds.

  • No historical rankings — players have no way to see how they're improving, so retention suffers.

I've been building RallyOS to fix exactly this — one dashboard for court scheduling, tournament brackets, registration, and player rankings, built specifically for club and league organizers (not generic booking software repurposed for pickleball).

If you're running a club or league and drowning in spreadsheets, happy to chat about what's actually slowing you down.
