Building Pakistan's own Indeed/LinkedIn Jobs — here's why, and I'm looking for a technical co-founder
Quick context: I'm building Resuma.pk, a job marketplace built specifically for Pakistan.
Here's the problem I kept running into — Indeed barely has coverage in Pakistan, and LinkedIn Jobs skews heavily toward corporate/MNC roles and English-first listings. Meanwhile there's a massive base of SMEs, startups, and local businesses in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and beyond who have zero good place to post a job and reach real local talent — and thousands of job seekers with no centralized place to find them.
So I'm starting simple: a marketplace where employers pay a flat fee to post a job (no recurring subscription, no gatekeeping), and job seekers join for free, browse, and apply. No noise, no irrelevant international listings, just Pakistan-based roles.
Right now this is early — validating demand on both sides (employers posting, seekers actually applying) before I build out anything more custom (matching, resume tools, verified employer badges, etc).
If you're a developer/technical builder interested in co-founding something with real on-the-ground reach in Pakistan, or you're hiring/job hunting in Pakistan and want to be an early user — drop a comment or DM me. Building this in public from here.
