Your first paid clip is a volume problem, not a talent problem
Most beginners lose weeks picking a niche, downloading a new editor, and watching "$10k/month clipping" videos. The people who get paid first do something boring.
They pick one creator with an open campaign. They cut five clips in the same format that already got views. They submit. They repeat for seven days.
Your first clip will be mid. That's the point. Campaigns pay for reach, not a director's reel. If you can hook in two seconds, keep the original audio, and end on a punchline, you're already ahead of most submissions.
If you're starting this week: one campaign, five clips, no new tools. Come back tomorrow and do it again.
