Most people who try to start an online business fail within 3 months. Not because they're dumb — because they skip the fundamentals.
After studying what actually works, here's the framework:
Step 1: Pick a niche using data, not feelings. Check Google Trends, Reddit, and existing marketplaces. If people are already paying for solutions in your space, that's a green light.
Step 2: Validate in 48 hours, not 48 days. Write a one-paragraph offer, post it in 3 communities. If 5+ people want it — build it. If not — pivot.
Step 3: Stack value, not features. A $49/month membership delivering $1,000+ in perceived value converts way better than a $10 product with nothing extra.
Step 4: Content is your sales team. One platform. Post consistently. 80% value, 20% promotion. One piece of content per day = one new customer every 2 days.
Step 5: Retention > acquisition. Keeping a customer costs 1/10th of getting a new one. Good onboarding and community compound your revenue monthly.
