Screen-free activities that buy you 20 minutes of peace (no prep needed)

A melt down the second the iPad goes away. Sound familiar? What would you say to playing independently for 20+ minutes while you drink an actual hot coffee instead?

Here are a couple of activities that work every single time — zero prep, zero guilt:

1. The Tupperware Tower — Dump your container drawer on the kitchen floor. Stacking, nesting, knocking down. They'll go for 20 minutes easy.

2. Water Pouring Station — Two cups and a shallow bin of water on a towel. Toddlers are OBSESSED with pouring. Yes, it's a little messy. Worth it.

3. The Whisk & Pom-Pom Drop — Stuff pom-poms (or balled-up socks) into a whisk. They pull them out one by one. Repeat forever.

The trick isn't finding the perfect activity — it's having a rotation of simple ones ready to go. That's exactly what I built Screen-Free Littles for.
