The real reason you keep losing trades (it's not your strategy)
I've talked to hundreds of traders over the years. The ones making $500/day and the ones blowing accounts every quarter. The difference is never the strategy.
The losing traders usually have better setups than the winners. They've read more books, watched more videos, backtested more systems. They can identify an A+ setup blindfolded.
But when the candle moves against them, the plan goes out the window. They move their stop. They double down. They tell themselves "this time is different."
Then they open a new tab and search for a better strategy. As if the problem was the setup.
Here's what actually separates consistent traders:
1. They have a pre-trade routine that kills emotional entries.
Before every trade, a 60-second check. Am I trading because I see an edge? Or because I want to make back what I lost? That one question eliminates 40% of bad trades.
2. They track behavior, not just P&L.
Their journal doesn't say "lost $200 on AAPL." It says "entered 2x normal size because I was frustrated. Ignored my position sizing rule after a red day."
3. They treat discipline as a system, not willpower.
Willpower runs out. Systems don't. The best traders have checklists, accountability partners, and hard rules they can't override in the moment.
You don't need another indicator. You need a framework that protects you from yourself.
