The spreadsheet is the reason your Shopify store isn't scaling

I've talked to a lot of solo Shopify sellers in the $10k-100k/month range, and almost all of them run inventory the same way: a Google Sheet, updated manually, usually a few days stale by the time anyone looks at it.

Here's the actual cost of that:

  • Overselling — you sell a unit you don't have, then spend an hour on a refund and an apology email instead of making sales.

  • Understocking — you don't notice a SKU is low until it's already zero, and you lose 1-2 weeks of sales waiting on a reorder you should've placed earlier.

  • Time — an hour a week counting stock is 50+ hours a year. That's a part-time job you're not getting paid for.

The fix isn't 'hire an ops person' — at $10k-50k/month that math doesn't work yet. The fix is automating the counting and the alerting, so the only decision left is 'do I reorder now or not.'

That's the entire premise behind ShelfSync — auto-synced stock levels off your Shopify store, and a reorder alert before you're at zero, not after. If you're running your inventory off a spreadsheet right now, it's worth an hour to see what automating it actually saves you.
