The 3 product research mistakes killing most Shopify stores

Most people who fail at dropshipping don't fail because of ads or fulfillment. They fail at product research.

After testing 200+ products across multiple stores, here are the 3 mistakes I see over and over:

1. Chasing trends instead of solving problems

That viral TikTok product? Everyone and their dog is already selling it. By the time you see it trending, the margin is gone. Instead, look for products that solve a specific, annoying problem. Boring products print money.

2. Ignoring shipping times as a product filter

If your supplier ships in 15-25 days, you're going to drown in chargebacks and refund requests. Filter by suppliers who can deliver in under 10 days, or use domestic warehousing. Speed is a feature.

3. Not testing the product yourself

You're about to spend hundreds on ads for something you've never held in your hands. Order it. Use it. Film it. Your content will be 10x better and you'll catch quality issues before your customers do.

Get these three right and you're already ahead of 90% of new store owners.

I'm building ShipClass to teach the full system — from finding winning products to scaling to $10K/month. It's free to join right now while I build out the course.
