Why most beginners fail to get abs (and the fix nobody talks about)

I spent 3 years training wrong before I figured this out.

The problem isn't your workout. It's not your diet either. It's that every program out there is designed for people who already know what they're doing.

If you've never had a consistent workout routine, you don't need a 6-day PPL split. You need something stupidly simple that you can actually stick to.

Here's what actually works for beginners:

1. Train 3x per week, max. More than that and you'll burn out by week 3. Consistency beats intensity every single time.

2. Focus on compound movements first. Crunches are the last thing you should be doing. Squats, deadlifts, and rows build more core strength than 1,000 sit-ups.

3. Eat enough protein, stop overthinking everything else. You don't need a meal plan. Just hit 0.8g per pound of bodyweight and eat mostly whole foods. That's it.

4. Sleep 7+ hours. Your abs are built during recovery, not during the workout.

I built the 3 Hour Six Pack System around these principles — a program that assumes you're starting from zero and respects that you have a life outside the gym.

If you've been trying to get lean and nothing has stuck, this might be why.
