MetaTrader 4 now works on the Cloud plan

A question that keeps coming up: does this work on MT4, or only MT5?

The Cloud plan runs both. MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, with any broker. Your account connects through your own MetaApi account, in your name, so your broker password never reaches us and you can revoke the access whenever you want.

The desktop version is MetaTrader 5 only, because the Expert Advisor is written in MQL5. If your account is MT4, the Cloud plan is the one you need.

One detail worth knowing about MT4: when you close part of a position, the broker closes that ticket and opens a new one with the volume that's left. A copier that doesn't go looking for the new ticket number loses track of the trade from that point on. Ours is built to follow it.

How to evaluate a Telegram channel before automating it

If you follow Telegram channels and are considering automating execution on your MetaTrader 5 (MT5) account, there are a few basics worth checking before connecting anything:

1. Message format. A serious channel posts entry, stop loss, and take profit clearly and consistently. If the format keeps changing, automation becomes unreliable.

2. Frequency and timing. A channel that posts dozens of trades a day at any hour is harder to filter. With time and spread filters you can limit execution to the windows that matter to you.

3. Symbols traded. If a channel trades many different instruments, using a symbol whitelist lets you keep only the ones you know or want to trade.

4. Risk management, not just results. Before looking at "win rate," look at whether position sizing is consistent with reasonable risk management. With automatic break-even, trailing stop, and partial close configured by you, you decide how each trade is managed — not the channel.

5. Remember who's in control. Whatever the channel, the broker account is still yours, the risk is set by you, and results depend on your configuration and the channel chosen — not on anyone else.
