Slot 1 — The Daily Driver (Work / Errands / Default)

What it needs: Clean, inoffensive, moderate projection. Something that makes people lean in, not pull away.

Fragrance families that work: Fresh aquatics, light citrus, clean musks, soft woods.

Rule: If someone 3 feet away can smell it strongly, it's too much for this slot.

Examples to explore: Bleu de Chanel EDT, Prada L'Homme, Versace Pour Homme.

Slot 2 — The Date / Night Out Scent

What it needs: Warmth, depth, moderate-to-strong projection. This is your "people remember me" scent.

Fragrance families that work: Amber, vanilla, oud, spicy orientals, warm woods.

Rule: Apply to pulse points only — neck, wrists, maybe chest. Don't spray a cloud and walk through it.

Examples to explore: Dior Homme Intense, Valentino Uomo Intense, YSL La Nuit de L'Homme.

Slot 3 — The Warm Weather / Casual Scent

What it needs: Light, fresh, won't turn cloying when you're sweating. Think beach, barbecue, weekend errands in July.

Fragrance families that work: Citrus, green, aquatic, light florals.

Rule: This is the one you can spray more liberally. It burns off fast in heat, so reapply after 3–4 hours.

Examples to explore: Acqua di Gio Profondo, Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue, Chanel Allure Homme Sport.

The Math

3 fragrances × ~120 sprays per 100ml bottle = 360 applications. If you wear fragrance daily, that's almost a full year of coverage for under $250 total.
