5 website mistakes that cost coaches clients every day
I've built sites for dozens of coaches and consultants. Here are the 5 things I see killing conversions over and over:
1. No clear CTA above the fold. If someone lands on your site and doesn't know what to do in 3 seconds, they're gone. "Book a call" needs to be front and center — not buried at the bottom.
2. Too much about YOU, not enough about THEM. Your homepage isn't a resume. Lead with the transformation your client gets, not your credentials.
3. Slow load times. If your site takes more than 3 seconds to load on mobile, you're losing 40%+ of visitors. Most coaches don't even check this.
4. No social proof. Testimonials, case studies, logos — anything that proves other people trust you. Put them high on the page.
5. Generic stock photos. They make you look like every other coach. Use real photos of you, your workspace, your clients (with permission). Authenticity converts.
If you're a coach or consultant and your site isn't bringing in leads, there's a good chance one of these is the culprit. Fix them and watch what happens.
