Sprint 4 prompt (seed)

Week 4 seed prompt: Shop-ready portrait

Take any prior sprint character and produce a shop-ready bust.

Constraints: clean edges, readable at 400px wide, no watermarks covering the face. Include a 3-price pack idea (sketch, color, commercial).

Deliverable: bust + listing title + three price tiers (ideas only, not verified sales).

Founding-member copy. No testimonials.

Sprint 3 prompt (seed)

Week 3 seed prompt: Rival designer

Character: the antagonist of last week’s courier, designed as a sellable OC, not a copy of a known IP.

Constraints: silhouette must be readable against the courier’s. One unique silhouette break (hat, extra limb, coat shape).

Deliverable: silhouette, costume callouts, and a 150-word bio you could put on a shop listing.

Founding-member copy.

Sprint 2 prompt (seed)

Week 2 seed prompt: Companion creature + handler

Character pair: a tired courier and the small creature that carries the mail.

Constraints: creature must read at thumbnail size. Handler clothing shows rank with one emblem only. No logos.

Deliverable: one key pose of both together, plus creature expression sheet (3 faces).

Founding-member copy.

Sprint 1 prompt (seed)

Week 1 seed prompt: Street vendor hero

Character: a 20-something who runs a night market stall that secretly funds a neighborhood watch.

Constraints: 3/4 view, full body, one signature prop (cart, lantern, or folding knife that is clearly a tool not a weapon showcase), limited palette of 4 colors plus black.

Deliverable: turnaround sketch (front + 3/4) plus a 3-sentence sell note (buyer, use, price idea).

Post WIP by midweek. Founding-member sprint. No claimed client results.

Welcome to the Character Design Sprint Guild

Welcome, founding members.

You are in Sketch & Sell’s Character Design Sprint Guild. This is a members-only space for weekly character sprints, peer critique, and portfolio pieces you can sell.

How a week works

  1. Monday: a structured prompt drops (character, constraints, deliverable).

  2. Midweek: post WIPs and ask for specific feedback.

  3. Sunday: post a finished or near-finished piece plus a 3-sentence sell note (who it is for, what you made, how you would price it).

Peer review rules

  • Critique the work, not the person.

  • Lead with one strength, then one specific change (silhouette, proportion, color, story).

  • No AI-generated “fixed” versions of someone else’s piece without permission.

  • Keep references credited.

Community guidelines

  • Original work only, or clearly labeled studies.

  • No NSFW, hate, or stolen IP.

  • Credit collaborators.

  • Founding-member copy: we are shaping the first sprints together. No customer results or testimonials yet.
