Your first layer is lying to you

Most "bad STL" tickets I get aren't bad files. They're a first layer that's 0.1mm too high and a slicer profile borrowed from a YouTube video shot on a different machine.


Quick check before you reprint:


  1. Paper test, then ignore the paper. If the sheet drags evenly, drop Z another 0.04–0.06mm. Paper-perfect is usually still too high for PLA on PEI.

  2. Stop using "generic 0.2mm". Open the profile named after your printer. Bambu, K1, and Prusa Mini do not share the same line width.

  3. First layer only: 220/60, 30mm/s, 100% fan off. If that sticks and layer 3 fails, it's cooling, not the mesh.


If the file still looks like spaghetti after that, it's a real file problem — or your belts. I sell print-ready STLs and a separate 1-hour live fix if you want someone on the machine with you. Not the same product. Not lifetime.
