3 mistakes every beginner trader makes (and how to avoid them)

I've been trading for years and I see the same 3 mistakes over and over from people just starting out:

1. Trading without a plan. Most beginners open charts, see something moving, and jump in. No stop loss, no target, no idea why they entered. That's not trading — that's gambling. Before every trade, know your entry, your exit, and how much you're willing to lose.

2. Risking too much per trade. New traders often put 10-20% of their account on a single trade because they want to "make it back" or "get rich quick." Professional traders risk 1-2% max. Because surviving is more important than winning.

3. Chasing indicators instead of understanding price. Every beginner stacks 10 indicators on their chart. RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands — all at once. The chart becomes unreadable. Truth is, clean price action and volume tell you more than any indicator combo.

If you're just starting and want a structured path to learning this the right way, that's exactly what TradeVault is built for.
