šŸŽ‰ Welcome to Solar Setter Script Mentor — Start Here

Welcome. You made a real decision today.

Most setters stay stuck repeating the same openers, hitting the same objections, and grinding the same results. You decided to actually fix it. That matters.

Here's exactly how to get the most out of everything inside:

---

šŸ“š Step 1 — Hit the Script Vault First

Head to the "Script Vault & Replays" course. Start with Chapter 1 (Win Vault) so you know what's possible, then go straight to Chapter 2 (Swipe File) to grab your openers, objection handles, and close scripts.

Print them. Practice them out loud before your next door session.

---

šŸŽ¬ Step 2 — Watch the Replay Sessions

Chapter 4 has live walkthroughs of real door approaches. Watch at 1.25x speed. Pay attention to tonality and pacing — that's what separates top setters from average ones.

---

šŸ“² Step 3 — Post Your Wins

Every time you book an appointment using a script from the Vault, post it. Every time an objection handle works, share it. Your wins push everyone else forward — including you.

---

šŸ’¬ Step 4 — Get in the Setter Community Chat

Bring your questions, your stuck doors, your close attempts. We break it down together in real time.

---

Your first goal this week:

Book 3 appointments using only the scripts from the Swipe File. Report back here.

Let's get to work. šŸš€

5 Words That Killed My First 100 Doors (And What I Say Now)

I used to open every door with: "Hey, do you pay an electric bill?"

That line alone killed my first 100 doors. Nobody cared. Nobody listened. I was just another guy in a polo.

Here's what changed everything for me — and what I now coach setters to say instead:

---

The Problem With Most Openers

Most setters try to sell the meeting at the door. That's backwards.

The door is for one thing: getting a YES to a conversation. Not a yes to solar. Not a yes to a site assessment. Just a yes to talk.

When you lead with "do you pay an electric bill," you're telegraphing your pitch before you've earned any attention. The homeowner's brain immediately goes into "salesperson defense mode" and the door closes — literally and figuratively.

---

The 3-Part Opener That Books More Appointments

After thousands of doors, I landed on a structure that works consistently:

  1. Pattern interrupt — Say something they're NOT expecting. Break the script they've already written in their head for a door-to-door rep.

  2. Neighbor social proof — "We're working with a few homes on this street" is more powerful than any statistic you'll ever memorize.

  3. Soft question, not a pitch — End with something they can say yes to easily. "I just wanted to make sure you're at least aware of what they're doing" is a yes-or-no that almost always gets a yes.

---

Real Example (Word for Word)

"Hey, sorry to just pop by — I'm actually out here because we just got a few of your neighbors locked in on something and I wanted to make sure you didn't get left out. Quick question — are you guys the homeowners here?"

That's it. No mention of solar. No mention of electric bills. Just curiosity, urgency, and social proof.

From there you listen. You build. You book.

---

The Objection That Will Hit (And How to Handle It)

After this opener, the most common pushback is: "What company are you with?"

Don't dodge it. Own it.

"[Company name] — we're the ones working with [neighbor/street]. I'll be honest, I'm not here to sell you anything at the door, I just want to grab 10 minutes at a time that works for you so our energy consultant can walk you through what your neighbors are doing and if it even makes sense for your home."

Boom. Disarmed. Back in control.

---

If you're out knocking right now, try this on your next 10 doors and track your contact rate. It's a simple change with a serious impact.

Drop your territory and results below — I'd love to see what's working for you.
