Everyone talks about 'grails' but nobody talks about the actual math of flipping sneakers.

Here's the truth after watching this market for years: the resale premium on 90% of hyped drops decays FAST — usually within 2-3 weeks of release. If you're not moving a pair in that window, you're not flipping, you're storage-unit investing.

The pairs that hold value long-term almost always share three traits: low production runs relative to hype (not just 'limited' — actually scarce), a collab story that ages well (artist/designer name still matters in 5 years, not just this news cycle), and clean colorways that wear well outside hype culture (so non-flippers still want them years later).

Biggest mistake I see new sellers make: pricing off the first bid they get instead of the trend line. One early lowball bid does not set your floor. Watch where 3-5 trades actually clear before you decide your pair is 'worth less than you thought.'

And on authentication — this is the whole game. The reason resale markets built on DMs and Craigslist die is fakes erode trust faster than any other factor. A market only works if both sides trust the trade. That's the entire reason SoleLine exists — verified trades, real payouts, no ghosting.
