Dual-income parents don't have a discipline problem. They have a Sunday problem.

You spend 40 minutes putting everything back. Monday after school, the floor looks the same. That's not failure. That's a room with too many categories and no homes.

What actually works:

• Fewer bins, not more. Toys, art, vehicles. That's it. If it doesn't fit, it doesn't stay.

• Bins at kid height. If they can't put it away without you, they won't.

• A donate bag that leaves the house the same day. Not "someday." Same day.

• One open floor. Kids play on the floor. If the floor is storage, play becomes dump.

The goal isn't Pinterest. It's a room you can walk into at 7pm without stepping on a plastic dinosaur.

That's the whole job.
