The #1 reason beginners get stuck around 1 minute (and never break through)

If you can solve the cube but you're stuck around the 60-90 second mark, it's almost never a turning speed problem. It's a lookahead problem.

Most beginners finish one step, then stop completely to "find" the next pieces. That full stop is where all your time goes — not in the turns themselves.

The fix: while you're finishing your last F2L pair, force your eyes to scan for the next pair's pieces before your hands stop moving. It feels wrong at first, almost like you're not paying attention to what you're solving. But this is exactly how sub-30 solvers operate — they're always solving what's in front of them while already looking at what's next.

Drill for this: do 10 solves where your only goal is "never let your hands stop moving between steps," even if you make mistakes. Don't chase speed. Chase flow. Times drop on their own once the pauses disappear.

Curious — what's everyone's current PB, and where do you feel your solve "stalls" the most?
