Hero looked fine in Figma. First scroll already broke taste.

I kept shipping pages where the hero looked sharp in the mock and soft in the browser. CTA below the fold. Nav taller than 80px. Three equal cards and a purple blob because the model likes them.

Taste Skill v2 is stricter: hero fits the first viewport, two-line headline, CTA above fold. Section 9 bans the usual slop. Section 4 locks color, shape, and theme so section 7 does not invent a new accent. Section 14 is a hard pre-flight. No box, no ship.

Stampcite Wedge is the taste-lock pack for that discipline.

If your studio already enforces hero fit another way, say how and I'll tell you whether this overlaps.

Brief first, map the system, then lock taste.

Most generated landing pages still look like the same three cards and a purple mesh. The brief never got read.

Taste Skill v2 starts at Section 0: infer page kind, vibe, audience, then pick a direction. If the brief names Material, Fluent, Carbon, Polaris, and friends, Section 2 maps to the real package instead of a vague approximation. Then Section 4 locks color, shape, and theme for the whole page. Section 9 bans the slop patterns. Section 11 audits existing sites before a redesign. Section 14 is a hard pre-flight: no box checked, no ship. Hero stays tight: two-line headline, primary CTA above the fold, nav under 80px.

Stampcite Wedge is the taste-lock pack I use so the studio does not reinvent that checklist every sprint.

The agent kept shipping purple heroes until we locked the brief first

Taste Skill v2 starts at Section 0: read the brief before any codegen. Then hero discipline (two-line headline, CTA above the fold, nav under 80px), then color/shape/theme locks and the anti-slop ban list. Skipping that order is how you get the same AI purple card row again.

Wedge is the short pack we use to force those locks before ship.

One accent. One radius. Then generate.

Generated UIs drift when you skip the locks. One accent in the hero, a different blue in section seven, mixed corner radii everywhere.

Taste Skill v2 is blunt about it: color consistency, shape consistency, page theme locks, plus a hard pre-flight and a long anti-slop ban list before any codegen.

Stampcite Wedge is the taste-lock desk for that brief-first pass.

Three locks before the agent paints the page.

Agent UIs kept drifting: blue CTA on a warm-grey page, mixed radii, light header into a dark section mid-scroll. Brief said one thing. Output said three.

Rule that stuck: lock color, lock shape, lock page theme before codegen. Brief first. Hard preflight after. Taste Skill style discipline, not vibes.

Wedge is Stampcite's taste-lock pack for that brief-first gate.

Read the brief before the agent invents a new brand

Taste Skill keeps climbing for a reason. The v2 rule that stuck with me: read the brief first, then lock color, shape, and page theme. No mid-page theme flips. No random blue CTA on a warm-grey site.

I used to let the agent freestyle the landing page and then spend a day undoing the slop. Now the lock comes before codegen. Redesigns get an audit pass first.

Stampcite Wedge is the small brand-taste wedge I use when UI keeps drifting.

Agents keep flipping the accent color mid-page. We locked it.

Taste Skill v2 still spells out three locks: one accent, one radius system, one page theme. Plus a redesign audit before the agent rewrites an existing brand.

Without that, every codegen pass drifts. Wedge is our taste-lock desk for studios that need the lock before the pixels.

If you already paste a style guide into SKILL.md, what still slips through?

Taste Skill v2 locks color, shape, theme. Same habit, desk form.

Taste Skill v2 still documents the hard locks: one accent, one radius system, one page theme, plus a preflight checklist before the agent ships UI. That is the anti-slop bar studios keep asking for.

Stampcite Wedge is that habit as a taste-lock desk for brand work. One direction, locked, before codegen sprawl.

If your last AI landing page flipped accents mid-scroll, you already know the bug.

Lock taste before the agent writes UI

Every AI-built site still drifts into the same purple gradient and three equal cards. The fix people keep shipping is a taste lock before codegen: color, shape, theme, hard preflight.

Stampcite Wedge is that pack for brand jobs. Lock the system first. Then let the agent build. Less slop, fewer redo loops.
