A thirty second fix for cranky wrists

If push-ups or planks bother your wrists, it's rarely the exercise πŸ‘€

Most wrists just aren't used to bearing weight. Before you start, spend thirty seconds rocking back and forth on flat hands, then circle each wrist a few times in both directions.

Do it every session, not just the ones where it hurts. It's maintenance, not a fix for a bad day.

Costs you nothing and most people skip it anyway πŸ™

Breathe on the hard part, not before it

Most people hold their breath right when it matters most 😀

Watch yourself on the next hard set. If you're holding air through the toughest part of the rep, that's tension working against you instead of for you.

Exhale through the hard part, inhale on the easy part. Small change. It's usually the difference in how heavy the last couple of reps feel.

Try it on your next set πŸ’ͺ

How long does a session actually take you, start to finish? πŸ•’

Not the plan. The real number, warm up and all.

Do you train alone or with someone else? πŸ‘‹

Genuinely curious. I've built everything assuming solo, and I'm not sure that's the right call anymore.

How long have you been training? And what actually got you started? πŸ€”

Not looking for a documentary. Just curious whether people come in from athletics, from trying to feel better in daily life, from wanting to prove something to themselves.

Your answer might help someone in here figure out if this is for them.

What's a small win you had this week? 🎯

Don't need to be dramatic. Did you squeeze in a session when you usually wouldn't. Did a movement feel easier. Got back on track after missing one. Drop it below.

Making a movement easier or harder

The progression isn't just "harder". It's the thing you stay on until it stops being a challenge πŸ’ͺ

Easier version: hand placement higher, knees bent, something supporting your weight, more stable surface.

Harder version: hands or feet further from center, fewer points of contact, less stable surface, extra range of motion.

The goal is to spend weeks on each level until the last set feels controlled and doable. That's when you step up.

How long to rest between sets

Rest matters more than people think πŸ‘‡

If you're going for strength and harder variations, rest longer. Two to three minutes between sets. You can't make the next set as hard if you're still breathing like you just sprinted.

If the session is about volume and repetition, thirty seconds to a minute is plenty. You're chasing fatigue, not recovery.

When in doubt, rest until your breathing settles. That's the actual signal.

What usually gets in the way? πŸ€”

Not judging. I want to know which problem I should be solving for.

How do you know you're actually getting better? πŸ’ͺ

Asking because the answer matters for how I design the next block.
