3 Things Most Traders Get Wrong About Technical Analysis
I've been analyzing markets for years, and these are the patterns I see over and over with intermediate traders who can't seem to break through:
1. Indicator overload. You don't need RSI + MACD + Bollinger Bands + Stochastic all on the same chart. Pick 2-3 tools you actually understand and master them. The traders who consistently win aren't the ones with the most indicators — they're the ones who deeply understand a few.
2. Ignoring volume. Price action without volume context is like reading half a sentence. A breakout on thin volume is a trap waiting to happen. A breakout on heavy volume tells you institutions are moving. Always check who's behind the move.
3. No invalidation point. Before you enter any trade, you should know exactly where you're wrong. Not "I'll figure it out if it drops." An actual price level. If it hits that level, you're out. No negotiating with yourself.
The difference between a good trader and a great one isn't some secret indicator — it's discipline and understanding what the data is actually telling you.
Inside StockPulse, I break down every pick with the full analysis so you can see exactly how I read the market. Not just "buy this" — but the reasoning, the setup, and the risk management behind every call.
