SPX 0DTE GEX Map — Aug 13

$SPX closed 7798.99, about a point under the king at 7800. Gamma wall sits at the same strike, put wall right below at 7790, net GEX +$924M.

Long gamma with spot pinned this tight to the biggest strike on the board is textbook magnet behavior — dealers hedging against movement, price settling into the heaviest gamma. The 7790–7800 pocket is where all the weight ended up, and that's exactly where the close landed.

SPX 0DTE GEX Map — Aug 5

$SPX closed 7723, sitting basically on the 7725 king with the 7720 put wall right underneath. That's a 5-point pocket between the two heaviest strikes on the board, and price ended inside it.

Net GEX finished around -$99M, so dealers wrapped the day in short gamma. In that regime the king acts less like glue and more like a pivot, and price still ended within 2 points of it.

Overhead, the gamma wall sits at 7750. Below, 7720 is the line short gamma feeds on if it gives way.

SPX 0DTE GEX Map — Aug 4

This morning's map: short gamma, king at 7650, net GEX negative. By the close: long gamma, king at 7735, net GEX +$603M. That's a +$660M swing and an 85pt king migration in one session.

$SPX broke above the 7645 gamma wall, ran as high as 7,758.21, and the dealer book flipped positive behind the move. A new king built at 7735 with the put wall stacked on the same strike, and the close printed 7,736.52, just 1.5pts off it. Once long gamma took over, price got drawn right back to the new anchor.

Next ceiling sits at 7800 for tmr. Full migration on the heatmap 👇

SPX 0DTE GEX Map — Jul 30

King node and gamma wall stacked on the same strike today at 7435, with $SPX opening 26pts below. That stack is both the magnet and the ceiling. Dealers are heavy call gamma there and sell into any rally that reaches it.

Put wall 7395 sits 14pts under spot. Biggest negative gamma strike on the board, and dealer hedging accelerates selling if it gives way.

Net GEX -$7M. Short gamma, but barely. Dealers chase moves instead of fading them, so expect swings to overshoot in both directions.

Lean: grind toward the 7435 magnet as long as 7395 holds. Lose 7395 and the downside gets fast.

SPX 0DTE GEX Map — Jul 28

Here's today's pre-market post, structured to lead with regime since yesterday's led with the king/put-wall stack:

---

Post:

Long gamma to start Tuesday, net GEX +$41M. Dealers fade every move in this regime: sell the rips, buy the dips. That compresses range.

Same quirk as yesterday, king and put wall sharing a strike. Both sit at 7430 and $SPX opens 7433, just 3 pts above. The king pulls price toward it all session, and the put wall makes it a floor because dealer hedging flips to buying when it trades there. Magnet and support on one strike usually means price orbits it instead of breaking it.

Overhead, the 7450 gamma wall is the lid. Dealers are loaded with call gamma there and sell into any push, so getting through takes real momentum.

Base case: 7430-7450 chop with 7430 doing the heavy lifting. Lose 7430 with follow-through and the pin logic goes with it.

SPX 0DTE GEX Map — Jul 27

The regime flipped since the open. Morning map was +gamma with net GEX at $+36M, now $SPX is short gamma at -$17M. The swing itself was small, but it crossed zero, and that changes how dealers behave: they stop fading moves and start chasing them.

What moved:

King 7410 → 7385, 25pts lower

Put wall 7390 → 7385, now stacked right on the king

Gamma wall 7425 → 7430

Spot 7394 is 9pts above that 7385 king/put wall combo. That stack is the tension for the afternoon. Hold 7385 and price has room to work back toward 7430. Lose it in short gamma and dealer hedging pushes with the move, so downside can accelerate instead of getting bought.

Afternoon take: 7385 decides everything. Above it, two-way trade is fine. Below it, don't fade momentum.

SPX 0DTE GEX Map — Jul 24

$SPX midday map rotated higher, but the regime didn’t change.

Morning king 7400 → 7460 now, a 60pt migration. Gamma wall also moved 7420 → 7460, while put wall dropped 7470 → 7430.

Net GEX strengthened $+163M → $+293M, a $+131M swing. Positive gamma means dealers are still fading moves, so chop remains the base case.

Spot 7439 sits between 7430 support and 7460 king/gamma pressure. No explicit wall test/hold was provided.

Afternoon takeaway: 7430–7460 is the battle zone. Inside it, expect mean reversion. Outside it, reassess fast.

$SPX didn’t flip regimes. It repriced the map.

Morning king was 7500. Now king is 7410, a 90pt migration, with spot sitting right on it.

Net GEX only moved $+25M → $+34M, so this is still positive gamma. Dealers are fading moves, which means chop is the base case.

Afternoon pressure: 7420 overhead, 7395 below. Respect the 7395–7420 box until price leaves it cleanly.

SPX 0DTE GEX Map — Jul 21

King node held its ground all day — 7510 anchored the tape, close finished just 0.8pts away at 7509.20. That's the magnet effect in a long gamma regime: dealers hedging into strength kept price glued to the level instead of letting it run.

Bigger story is the migration. Morning king was 7470, still positive gamma — by the close it had walked 40pts higher to 7510, tracking spot as call gamma built overhead. Regime never flipped, stayed long gamma wire to wire.

Notable break: spot cleared the 7500 gamma wall intraday, which became the new center of gravity as king and gamma wall converged right at 7510. Put wall sits just below at 7505, tight books on either side of spot into the close. Net GEX +$386M, GEX swing minimal — dealers weren't scrambling to rehedge big, just walking the levels up with price.

SPX 0DTE GEX Map — Jul 20

$SPX premarket: 7484 spot, with the king node 6pts above at 7490.

Regime is positive / long gamma, which means dealers are fading moves today: buying dips, selling rips, and keeping price more magnetized than runaway.

7490 is both king and gamma wall: resistance, and the main magnet overhead. Dealers sell into rallies here, so clearing it takes real momentum.

7430 put wall: support. If $SPX loses that zone, negative hedging pressure can speed up the downside move.

Net GEX: $+0M

Base case: chop with a slight pull toward 7490 unless 7430 comes into play.
