5 ways college students can make $500/month without a 'real job'
Most college students think they need a part-time job that pays $12/hr and eats up 20 hours a week. There's a better way.
Here are 5 side income streams that actually work around a class schedule:
1. Sell digital templates. Notion dashboards, resume templates, budget spreadsheets โ you already know what students need because you ARE one. List them online for free. Time: one weekend to set up.
2. Freelance a skill you're learning in class. Taking a marketing class? Run social media for a local business for $300-500/month. Finance major? Help small business owners clean up their books.
3. Tutor online. If you got an A in it, someone will pay you to explain it. $25-40/hr is normal and you set your own schedule.
4. Resell. Thrift stores, Facebook Marketplace, clearance racks. Buy low, sell higher. It's not glamorous but it's cash flow and you learn sales.
5. Content creation about your niche. Document what you're learning. "College student trying to make $1k/month" is a story people follow. Monetize with affiliate links once you have an audience.
The key: pick ONE and actually do it for 30 days before jumping to the next.
