The 3 study habits that took me from C's to straight A's
Most students study wrong. They re-read notes, highlight everything, and cram the night before. Then wonder why they forget it all during the exam.
Here's what actually works (backed by cognitive science):
1. Active Recall > Re-reading
Close the textbook. Write down everything you remember. The struggle IS the learning. Your brain builds stronger connections when it has to work to retrieve information.
2. Spaced Repetition > Cramming
Study the same material across multiple days with increasing gaps. Day 1, Day 3, Day 7, Day 14. You'll retain 90% instead of 20%.
3. Time Blocking > "I'll study later"
If it's not on your calendar, it doesn't exist. Block specific hours for specific subjects. Treat study time like a class you can't skip.
I built a complete toolkit around these principles — a study guide + interactive Excel planner with Pomodoro tracking, semester planning, and exam checklists.
