We rented the house. We brought the boat. Now what?

That’s the thread. The house is inland. Or it has a skinny canal. Or the dock is 24 feet and the boat is 28. Or friends showed up with a second boat and there is one slip. Or there is a slip and nowhere to leave the trailer for a month.

I live in Summerland Key Cove, around MM 25. The canal is one of the widest and deepest in the Keys. One small bridge in and out. Quiet neighborhood. The trailer stays for the stay.

This is for three people:

• Snowbirds and 28-night house renters who need a month on the water

• Anyone trailering down from the mainland who wants the boat wet the day they arrive

• Peak week — lobster mini-season, the races, Fantasy Fest

One private slip. You slip in, leave the vehicle, slip out to open water. Book the month or the week. I’ll meet you at the dock.
