Why most 'healthy' snacks aren't actually healthy
Started SuperSnacks because I got tired of reading labels that say 'protein snack' and finding 12g of sugar hiding in there.
Here's the filter I use for everything we stock:
Under 5g sugar per serving
At least 8g protein per serving
No seed oils or artificial sweeteners as the first 3 ingredients
Most 'healthy' snack aisles fail this test immediately — granola bars are basically candy with a health halo, and a lot of 'protein' snacks pad grams with collagen fillers that don't actually satiate you.
Just launched our Starter Box with the stuff that actually passes the filter. If you've been burned by fake-healthy snacks before, curious what brands you've found that actually hold up — always looking to test more.
