3 mistakes that are ruining your at-home blowout
I've been behind the chair for years and I see the same damage patterns over and over. Here's what most people get wrong:
1. You're using the wrong heat setting. Max heat ≠ faster drying. It means fried ends. Fine hair? Stay under 300°F. Thick/coarse? 350°F max. That's it.
2. You're skipping the rough dry. Trying to style soaking wet hair with a round brush is why it takes you 45 minutes and still falls flat. Rough dry to 80% first — use your fingers, medium heat, keep it moving. THEN bring in the brush.
3. Your sections are way too big. I know you're in a rush. But thick sections = uneven heat = frizz city. Smaller sections, smoother results. Every. Single. Time.
