Why most home recovery gadgets get bought once and never used again

Started SweatLab Supply after watching my own massage gun collect dust for 3 months. Here's what I learned sourcing recovery tech for home gym setups:

The problem isn't the gadget, it's the bundle. Most people buy one recovery tool in isolation — a massage gun, or a band set, or a tracker — use it twice, forget about it, and it becomes clutter. The gadgets that actually stick are the ones paired with a routine, not just a purchase.

What actually keeps people consistent:

  1. Pairing percussion therapy (massage gun) with mobility work (resistance bands) covers both "release tension" and "build range of motion" — most people only do one.

  2. Passive tracking (posture/recovery wearables) removes the guesswork of "am I actually recovering or just resting." Data creates accountability gadgets alone don't.

  3. Bundling gear you'll use in the same session (not scattered across different days) is what makes it a habit instead of a purchase you regret.

That's the whole thesis behind our starter bundle — not "buy 3 random gadgets," but 3 tools designed to be used together in one recovery session.

If you're building out a home gym and keep buying gear that ends up in a drawer, happy to talk through what's actually worth it.
