Why most new streamers fail before they hit 100 followers
Spent the last year watching creators launch and quit within 30 days. Same pattern every time:
They spend all their energy on the camera and none on the system behind it. No script structure (so retention tanks after 3 seconds), no community home (so viewers have nowhere to go after the stream ends), no visual identity (so nothing looks intentional).
The creators who actually stick around do three boring things first:
They write hooks with a formula, not vibes — contradiction, stakes, or a visual promise in the first 3 seconds.
They set up their Discord BEFORE they need it — proper channel structure and role permissions so it doesn't turn into a spam pit at 50 members.
They lock in branding once, early, so every post looks like it's from the same person.
None of this is glamorous. All of it is why some channels compound and most don't.
If you're building a streaming/gaming brand right now, happy to share the exact scripting prompts and Discord blueprint I use — just ask.
