5 Design Shortcuts That Saved Me 100+ Hours This Year
Most designers waste time reinventing the wheel on every project. I used to do the same thing ā starting from scratch, tweaking the same layouts, rebuilding color systems over and over.
Here are 5 things that changed everything for me:
1. Template systems, not individual templates. One good modular template replaces 20 one-off designs. Build components, not pages.
2. Preset stacks. Color grading, typography scales, shadow systems ā save them once, apply everywhere. Your brand stays consistent without thinking.
3. Reference libraries over inspiration boards. Pinterest is a dopamine trap. Build a structured library of actual design patterns you can steal from yourself.
4. E-book frameworks. Stop designing books from zero. A solid framework (cover + chapter layout + callout boxes) cuts your production time in half.
5. Batch creation. Design 10 things in one sitting using your systems. Context-switching between projects kills your speed.
I've packaged everything I use daily ā templates, presets, guides ā into one vault. If you want to skip the learning curve, it's all in here.
