Why I stopped doing 'restocks' for my streetwear brand

Ran a t-shirt brand for a bit and made the classic mistake early on: printing too much, then discounting it 3 months later to clear inventory. Killed the hype every time.

Switched to small-batch drops only — fixed quantity, one print run, no restocks, ever. Sounds risky but it actually fixes two things at once:

  1. Scarcity is real, not manufactured. People don't wait around for a 'restock' that never comes, they buy now.

  2. Zero dead stock. You're not sitting on boxes of size-large tees nobody wants in month 4.

Just launched The Drop Collection under this model — first run is live now. If you're building a physical product brand on Whop, happy to share what's worked (and what's flopped) so far.
