Why Most Startup MVPs Fail Before Launch (And How to Avoid It)

After building 50+ apps over 7 years, here's the pattern I keep seeing:

Founders spend 6 months perfecting features nobody asked for, burn through their budget, and launch to crickets.

The fix is boring but it works:

Ship the smallest version that solves one real problem. Not a feature list — a solution.

Here's my actual process:

  1. Define the core loop — What's the one thing a user does repeatedly? Build only that.

  2. Pick the right stack — FlutterFlow for speed if you need both iOS + Android. WordPress if it's web-first and content-driven. Custom Flutter if you need performance.

  3. Set a 4-6 week deadline — If your MVP takes longer, you're building too much.

  4. Launch to 10 people, not 10,000 — Get real feedback before you scale.

I've used this exact framework to take ideas from napkin sketch to App Store in under 6 weeks.

If you're sitting on an idea and don't know where to start, I'm happy to scope it out for free — just reach out.
