5 accessories most people overpay for (and where to find quality ones)

I've been sourcing electronics and accessories for a while now, and the markup on some of this stuff is insane. Here's what I've learned:

1. USB-C cables — The $30 "premium" cable from the brand name store? Same spec as an $8 one if you know what to look for. Check for E-Marker chips and USB-IF certification.

2. Phone cases — Most clear cases yellow in 3 months regardless of price. The key is TPU quality, not the logo on the box.

3. Wireless earbuds — Below $100, the sound difference between brands is minimal. Battery life and codec support matter way more.

4. Screen protectors — Tempered glass is tempered glass. The $5 ones from a good supplier protect just as well as the $40 ones.

5. Chargers — GaN chargers have leveled the playing field. You don't need to pay Apple/Samsung prices for fast charging anymore.

I'm building TechVault to cut through the noise and connect people with quality gear at fair prices. Join the community — it's free.
