If you're manually exporting Canva social templates one-by-one for clients, you're burning hours you'll never get back. Here's the workflow I use to batch-export an entire month of content in under 20 minutes.

The Problem

Most designers create 20-30 social posts per client per month. Exporting each one individually — choosing format, adjusting quality, renaming files — eats 10-15 minutes per batch. Multiply that across 3-5 clients and you're losing an entire afternoon.

The Fix: Multi-Page + Bulk Download

Step 1: Build all your monthly templates inside a single multi-page Canva project (not separate files). One project = one Instagram carousel set, one project = one month of stories, etc.

Step 2: Use Canva's "Select all pages" export. Go to Share → Download → check "All pages." Choose PNG for static, MP4 for animated.

Step 3: Canva auto-zips everything with sequential naming. Rename the zip with your client code + month (e.g., ACME-FEB25-IG-Feed.zip) and you're done.

Pro Tips

• Use Brand Kit folders to keep each client's assets separated — fonts, logos, color palettes. Switching between clients takes 2 clicks instead of 20.

• Set default export quality per project type. Stories = PNG at 3x. Feed posts = PNG at 2x. This avoids the "which quality was it again?" decision fatigue.

• Magic Switch for resizing. Design the Instagram feed version first, then use Magic Switch to generate the Story, LinkedIn, and Twitter versions. Edit the auto-resized versions instead of designing from scratch.

The Math

• Before: ~15 min per export × 25 posts × 4 clients = 25 hours/month

• After: ~20 min per batch × 4 clients = ~1.5 hours/month

That's 23+ hours back. Use them to take on another client.
