The 3 body language mistakes that cost entrepreneurs deals
Most entrepreneurs think closing a deal is about the pitch.
It's not. It's about what happens before you even open your mouth.
Here are 3 body language mistakes I see founders make constantly — and what to do instead:
1. Breaking eye contact downward
When you look down during a pause, the other person's subconscious reads it as submission or uncertainty. Look to the side instead. It signals you're thinking, not retreating.
2. Nodding too much
Excessive nodding tells the other person you're seeking approval. Strategic stillness is power. Nod once, slowly, when you genuinely agree — not as a nervous reflex.
3. Leaning in too early
Leaning forward signals eagerness. In a negotiation, that's leverage you're giving away for free. Stay neutral until they lean in — then match it.
These aren't tricks. They're calibrations. Once you understand the code behind human communication, every room you walk into becomes yours.
I built The Communication Code to teach entrepreneurs exactly this — body language, NLP metaprograms, and the invisible patterns that drive every conversation.
If you're tired of leaving money on the table because of how you communicate, this is for you.
