Why your diet keeps failing (it's not willpower)
Every failed diet has the same pattern:
You cut calories too hard → you're starving by day 5 → you "cheat" → guilt spiral → quit.
Sound familiar? Here's what nobody tells you:
The deficit itself isn't the problem — it's the SIZE of the deficit.
Most people slash 1000+ calories right out the gate. Your body panics. Hunger hormones spike. Energy crashes. Willpower is finite, and you just used all of it fighting biology.
The fix is stupidly simple:
→ Start with a 300-500 calorie deficit. That's it.
→ Eat enough protein (0.8-1g per lb of bodyweight)
→ Keep foods you actually enjoy in the plan
→ Weigh yourself weekly, not daily
You'll lose slower at first. But you'll actually KEEP losing. And 6 months from now, you'll be the person who "just figured it out" while everyone else is still yo-yoing.
This is exactly what I teach inside The Deficit Method — no fads, no meal plans you'll hate, just the actual science of sustainable fat loss.
