Nobody ever told you that eating advice was not written for your brain.
It wasn't. And that's not a small thing.
Mainstream nutrition advice assumes you can feel hunger reliably. It assumes you can plan, initiate, and follow through without running into a wall. It assumes sensory differences are just preferences you can override if you really want to.
For neurodivergent people — various diagnosis' sensory processing differences, AuDHD — those assumptions are wrong. And every time we try a meal plan and it falls apart by day five, we blame ourselves. We shouldn't.
"You have not been failing at nutrition. You have been applying the wrong framework to your brain."
I built The Divergent Body because the word needs to be not only for the cliche health promotional advices everyone hears many times, but to inspire and to uplift others who seek help from the hole. I am neurodivergent myself, and I have lived the freezing-in-front-of-the-fridge moments. Especially the same four safe foods on rotation, the executive dysfunction that makes 'just cook something healthy' feel like an impossible question.
This is what I have learned - about sensory-friendly eating, low-pressure routines, and building something sustainable when your brain doesn't work the way many health/fitness influencers and cookbooks assume it does.
