I've been trading NAS100 and ES futures for a while. Here's what I'd tell my beginner self:

1. Risk management IS the strategy.

Your entries don't matter if you don't have a SL. I risked way too much per trade early on and it cost me months of progress. Now I never risk more than 1-2% of my account on a single trade. Period.

2. You don't need to trade every day.

The best traders I know sit on their hands more than they trade. If the setup isn't there, don't force it. NAS and ES give you clean setups almost every week — you just need patience to wait for them.

3. Watch someone trade live before going solo.

Reading about trading is not the same as watching someone execute in real time. Seeing how a real trader reacts to price action, manages risk, and handles losses taught me more than any course ever did.
