The 3 training mistakes keeping you stuck at the same weight
After coaching hundreds of lifters, I see the same 3 mistakes over and over:
1. Program hopping every 4 weeks.
Your body needs 8-12 weeks of progressive overload on the SAME movements to adapt. Switching programs because you're "bored" is why your bench hasn't moved in 6 months.
2. Training to failure every set.
RPE 10 every set = CNS fatigue = missed reps next session = regression. Leave 1-2 reps in the tank on working sets. Save failure for the last set of accessories.
3. No deload protocol.
If you've been grinding for 6+ weeks without a deload, your joints and recovery are shot. One easy week every 4-6 weeks isn't weakness — it's how you keep making gains past the beginner phase.
I built The Grind Lab specifically to fix this. Structured programming with built-in periodization, deloads, and progression schemes that actually work.
Stop spinning your wheels. Start grinding with purpose.
