The 3 questions that changed how I spend my time
Most people in their 20s are running on someone else's script. School told you what to do. Your job tells you what to do. Social media tells you what to want.
But nobody teaches you how to figure out what actually matters to you.
Here are 3 questions I ask myself every Sunday that completely changed how I show up:
1. "If I kept living exactly like this week, where would I be in 5 years?"
Most people avoid this question because the answer is uncomfortable. That's exactly why you need to ask it.
2. "What did I say yes to that I should have said no to?"
Your life is shaped more by what you say no to than what you say yes to. Every "yes" to something mediocre is a "no" to something great.
3. "What's one thing I did this week just because I wanted to — not because I had to?"
If you can't answer this, that's the problem. Joy isn't a reward for productivity. It's a requirement for a life worth living.
I write about this stuff every week at The Life Manual. If you're a young professional trying to stop drifting and start designing your life — come through.
