I learned nail art at 0 skill — here's what actually helped

Starting nail art feels overwhelming. You buy the polishes, watch a few YouTube videos, and then... the results don't match what you saw.

Here's what I wish someone told me earlier:

1. Nail prep is 80% of the result. If your base isn't clean and dry, nothing else matters. Push cuticles back, buff lightly, and wipe with alcohol before you even think about polish.

2. Thin coats beat thick ones. One thick coat = bubbles, uneven drying, smudging. Two thin coats = clean, glossy finish every time.

3. Practice on a plastic bag first. Seriously — lay down a sheet of plastic wrap, paint your design on it, let it dry, and peel it off. Zero pressure, infinite reps.

4. A good top coat changes everything. It seals your work, adds shine, and extends wear by days. Don't skip it.

I built The Nail Studio for people who want to go from zero to genuinely good — with step-by-step tutorials, a community to share with, and real technique breakdowns, not just aesthetic content.

If you've ever wanted to learn nail art properly, come check it out. 💅
