The 3 things nobody tells you about postpartum recovery

Most postpartum advice falls into two camps: "take it easy" or "get back to your pre-baby body." Both miss the mark.

Here's what actually matters at 6+ weeks:

1. Your core isn't "weak" — it's disconnected.

The issue isn't strength. It's that your brain lost the neural pathway to properly engage your deep core. Crunches won't fix this. Intentional reconnection work will.

2. Recovery isn't linear.

You'll have a great week, then feel like you're back to square one. That's normal. Your body is still regulating hormones, healing tissue, and adapting. Progress looks like a zigzag, not a straight line.

3. Movement should feel like medicine, not punishment.

If your "workout" leaves you more exhausted than before, it's too much. The goal at this stage is restoration — building a foundation you can push from later.

I built a structured workbook around these principles. No fluff, no generic plans. Just a clear system for moms who want to feel like themselves again.
