Welcome to The SOP Studio 👋

You're in. Here's how to get the most out of your purchase:

1. Start the course → Head to "90-Min Month-End Close" and work through it at your own pace. Each lesson is designed to be completed in sequence.

2. Download the templates → SOP templates, role checklists, QA scripts and worksheets are all included inside the course lessons. Download them and customize for your team.

3. Ask questions → Drop into Members Chat if you get stuck or want to share how you've adapted the process for your team.

4. Hand it off → Once you've run the process once, use the handoff pack to delegate month-end close to anyone on your team.

Let's make month-end boring. That's the goal.

The real reason your month-end close takes 3 days

It's not because your books are complicated. It's because nobody wrote down the steps.

I've watched ops managers at Series A and B startups lose entire weeks to month-end. Every single time, it's the same story: the process lives in one person's head, they're juggling 14 tabs, and "close the books" means something different every month.

Here's what actually fixes it:

Sequence matters more than speed. Most teams try to reconcile everything at once. Instead, lock bank feeds first, then AR/AP, then payroll, then accruals. In that order. Every time.

Checklists beat training. You don't need a senior accountant to run month-end. You need a checklist that a competent ops person can follow without asking questions.

QA catches what memory misses. Build a 5-minute review script at the end. Three balances to check, two ratios to sanity-test, done.

I built a course that walks through the exact SOP I use — minute by minute — with templates, checklists and handoff docs included. It's designed for ops leads and finance teams at growing startups who are tired of the month-end fire drill.

If your close takes longer than 90 minutes, the process is the problem.
