📈 Weekly Market Outlook — What I'm Watching This Week

Here's what's on my radar this week:

Key Events

  • Fed speakers throughout the week — watch for rate cut signals

  • Earnings season continues — tech names reporting

  • XAUUSD sitting at a key level — watching for a breakout or rejection

My Watchlist

Gold (XAUUSD)

Gold has been consolidating near resistance. Two scenarios:

  • Bullish: Break above with volume → targeting next resistance

  • Bearish: Rejection → pullback to support for a better entry

Full Access members get real-time XAUUSD signals — every entry, exit, and stop loss.

S&P 500

Overall trend is up, but we're extended. Looking for:

  • A healthy pullback to the 20 EMA for long entries

  • Watching support levels for bounce opportunities

USD Strength

Dollar index is key this week. A strong dollar = pressure on gold and equities.

---

The Lesson

Don't chase. Wait for price to come to YOUR levels. Patience is the edge.

🔑 The Only Risk Management Rule You Need as a Beginner

Here's the single most important rule in trading:

Never risk more than 1% of your total account on a single trade.

That's it. If you follow this one rule, it's almost impossible to blow your account.

Why 1%?

Let's say you have a $1,000 account:

  • 1% risk = $10 per trade

  • You'd need to lose 100 trades in a row to go to zero

  • Even a bad losing streak of 10 trades only costs you $100 (10%)

Compare that to risking 10% per trade:

  • 10 losses = your account is gone

  • That can happen in a single bad week

How to Calculate Position Size

  1. Account size: $1,000

  2. Risk per trade: 1% = $10

  3. Stop loss distance: Let's say 50 pips

  4. Position size: $10 ÷ 50 pips = $0.20 per pip

This keeps you in the game long enough to actually learn.

What's your current risk per trade? Be honest 👇

📊 3 Beginner Mistakes That Kill Your Trading Account (And How to Avoid Them)

If you're just starting out, avoid these three traps that wipe out most beginners:

1. Trading Without a Stop Loss

Every single trade needs a defined exit point BEFORE you enter. No exceptions. A stop loss isn't optional — it's your seatbelt.

Fix: Set your stop loss before you even think about your target. Risk no more than 1-2% of your account per trade.

2. Revenge Trading

You take a loss, get emotional, and immediately jump back in trying to "win it back." This is how $500 losses become $2,000 losses.

Fix: After a loss, step away for at least 30 minutes. Review your journal. Only re-enter if a fresh setup appears.

3. No Trading Journal

If you're not tracking your trades, you're gambling. A journal shows you your patterns — what works, what doesn't.

Fix: Log every trade: entry, exit, why you took it, and how you felt. Review weekly.

The 3 things I check before every single trade

Most beginners jump into trades based on a gut feeling or a tip they saw on social media. That's not trading — that's gambling.

Before I enter any position, I run through the same 3-point checklist every time. It takes less than 2 minutes and it's saved me from more bad trades than I can count.

1. What's the trend doing?

I zoom out to the daily chart. If price is making higher highs and higher lows, the trend is up. If it's the opposite, it's down. I only trade in the direction of the trend — never against it. Sounds basic, but most losses come from fighting the trend.

2. Where's my stop loss BEFORE I enter?

If I can't define exactly where I'm wrong, I don't take the trade. My stop goes below the most recent swing low (for longs) or above the most recent swing high (for shorts). I calculate my position size so that if I get stopped out, I lose no more than 1-2% of my account.

3. Is the reward worth the risk?

I need at least a 2:1 reward-to-risk ratio. If my stop loss is $2 away, my target needs to be at least $4 away. If the setup doesn't give me that, I pass. There are always more trades — but you only get one account.

That's it. Trend, stop loss, reward-to-risk. No indicators, no complicated formulas. Just a simple system that keeps you disciplined.

If you want to learn how to build a full trading framework around these principles, that's exactly what I teach inside The Trading Floor Academy.

📊 NEW: Portfolio Tracker — Log Your Trades. Track Your P&L. Master Your Performance.

We just dropped something every serious trader needs.

The Portfolio Tracker is now live inside The Trading Floor. It's a full trade journal built right into your membership — no spreadsheets, no third-party apps, no excuses.

Here's what it does:

🔹 Log every trade — ticker, entry/exit price, quantity, side (long or short), notes

🔹 Leverage support — 1x to 20x, your P&L adjusts automatically

🔹 Real-time P&L — see exactly what you're making (or losing) on every position

🔹 Stats dashboard — total P&L, win rate, open positions, all in one view

🔹 Filter & track — separate open trades from closed, review your history, spot patterns

This isn't a gimmick. The traders who consistently make money are the ones who track every single trade. They review. They adjust. They improve. This tool makes that effortless.

I went from clueless to confident in the stock market — here's what changed everything

Most people lose money trading stocks because they skip the foundation.

They jump straight into buying random tickers, panic-sell at the first red candle, and wonder why their portfolio is bleeding.

I built The Trading Floor to fix that.

Here's what's inside:

📚 Stock Trading 101 — Start from zero. Learn how the market actually works, how to read charts, place your first trade, and manage risk like a pro. 28 lessons. No fluff.

🧠 Advanced Trading Mastery — For when you're ready to level up. Technical indicators, options, chart patterns, sector analysis, and building your own edge. Another 28 lessons of pure strategy.

📦 The Complete Trading Bundle — Both courses. One price. $55 and you own it forever.

📡 Market Updates Live — Real-time stock market news so you're never caught off guard.

Every lesson has been built step by step with knowledge checks to make sure you're actually learning, not just watching.

Whether you're completely new or looking to sharpen your edge, this is the system.

5 mistakes every beginner stock trader makes (and how to avoid them)

I've watched hundreds of people start trading stocks, and almost everyone makes the same mistakes in the first few months. Here's what to watch out for:

1. Trading with money you can't afford to lose

Before you buy a single share, make sure your emergency fund is sorted. Trading with rent money leads to panic selling and bad decisions.

2. Chasing hype stocks

If you're hearing about a stock on TikTok, you're already late. By the time something goes viral, the smart money has already moved. Learn to spot opportunities before the crowd.

3. No exit strategy

Every trade should have a plan: when do you take profit? When do you cut losses? If you don't know before you enter, you're gambling — not trading.

4. Overcomplicating it

You don't need 15 indicators on your chart. Start with price action, volume, and one or two moving averages. Master the basics before adding complexity.

5. Expecting overnight results

Building real wealth in the market takes years, not weeks. The people who win long-term are the ones who stay consistent and keep learning.

If you're just getting started and want a structured path to learn this properly, The Trading Floor is built exactly for people like you. No jargon, no fluff — just what works.
