I've been trading forex and crypto for years. Here's what I wish someone told me on day one.

Mistake #1: Trading without a plan.

Most beginners open a chart, see a candle moving, and click buy. That's not trading — that's gambling. Before you enter ANY position, you need to know your entry, stop loss, and target. Write it down before you execute.

Mistake #2: Risking too much per trade.

If you're putting 10-20% of your account on a single trade, you're one bad day away from blowing up. The rule? Never risk more than 1-2% per trade. Boring? Yes. Profitable long-term? Also yes.

Mistake #3: Chasing signals instead of learning the skill.
